Well Planning and Engineering
Transmark-EDS adopts an engineering approach to planning and drilling directional wells. This is becoming increasingly important with the increased high-angle, large step out, horizontal and designer wells being drilled at the present time. Also, as platforms become more congested, anti-collision planning is of prime importance.
Transmark-EDS uses Landmark-EDM COMPASS for its well-planning, anti-collision analysis and survey database storage at the Oudkarspel-based Operations / Engineering Group. These are commercially available packages written by companies specialising in well-planning and survey software and are generally regarded as the 'state of art' software packages. The systems are capable of all well-planning, survey-handling, printing, plotting and data-transfer functions. All of the system's data is stored on a relational database.
In carrying out well-planning activities, Transmark-EDS adheres to the most stringent quality regulations and procedures.
